Carlos Armando Hernandez (R-MA) is entering the race to give a genuine choice to the voters of the 6th District. He is confident that his attributes, ideas and proposals will resonate with the residents residing within his district. Carlos entered the United States as a legal immigrant from the Dominican Republic in 1969 and became a Naturalized American Citizen in 1990. Carlos understands the concerns and aspirations of first generation Americans, which cannot be said of his Harvard elitist competitor.
Carlos started his journey for the “American Dream” by purchasing a Paper route in Salem, MA at the age of 13. He later worked as dishwasher in restaurant 2 houses away from his home where he was trained to be a Cook and later at age 17, a business manager. This cannot be said of his Harvard elitist competitor.
Because of his entrepreneurship, everyone at Salem high school believed that he was destined to be a restaurant owner. This cannot be said of his Harvard elitist competitor.
However, Carlos joined the United States Navy in 1979 & was stationed on the USS Independence CVA-62 attack Carrier and had multiple deployments that included ‘Gonzo Station’, the ‘Iranian Hostage Crisis’ and the ‘Lebanon Crisis’. He re-enlisted for 4 more years & was transferred to the USS Affray MSO 511 Mine Sweeper.
After a service-connected injury and Honorable Discharge, Carlos came back to his hometown of Salem, MA and later moved to New Hampshire for a short stint where he worked as a school bus driver, a Mechanic for 20+buses, and then was promoted to assistant manager.
In 1987, due to his services connected injury, Carlos became self-employed and formed a consulting business which he has continued up to the present time. Initially, he subcontracted as a supervisor for a construction company, and then moved into in Real Estate, Information Technology (IT), Computer Networking, Web Consulting, Insurance Brokering, Custom Computer System fabrication and Web Hosting.
Carlos has resided in Saugus and the 6th Congressional District, continuously since 1992.
Carlos and his wife are the parents of two daughters who have resided in Saugus their entire lives. — He was an Organizer for the Saugus “Stop the Santa Claus Ban” — He Organized the North Shore Tea Party and became the Tea Party Patriots State Coordinator for Massachusetts — Attended Salem High School — Studied Business at Franklin Pierce University .
None of these achievements apply to his Harvard elitist competitor who always comes out short.
